Many IT/IS projects falter and even fail for lack of recruiting “that right person,” whether due to time-and-budget constraints, or because of the complexity presented. “The right person for the job” is too narrow of a focus, although a common one. Never has 2AG’s stress on “the right person for the PROJECT” been more crucial. Some recruiting firms spell success S-P-E-E-D, i.e., presenting their candidate before another hiring house can. We at 2AG: Amry Astro Group know that speed must be combined with skill if the goal is to be attained – think of the high-jump or high hurdles of Track & Field competition. Naturally, only candidates with demonstrable skills and proven records will be presented. From candidate sourcing to advertising and response handling, from screening to interviewing, 2AG’s view is to seek the “good fit” which implicates more than skills; it extends to personal drive, outlook and where the candidate is along his or her career curve.
